Best digital-SLR camera

The top digital-SLR cameras used by many professionals will most likely run over six thousand for the camera body only, For example the Canon EOS-1D X 18.1MP Full Frame CMOS Digital SLR Camera (Body Only).  And the Nikon D4 16.2 Full Frame digital-SLR (Body Only).  Both receive are vote as two of the best DSLR camera models. Also remember to add the cost for a lens or two since you would probably want fast high quality lenses to match the top of the line DSLR cameras. Most professional digital-SLR cameras have a full frame or larger CMOS sensor. The large full frame sensor allows it to capture more light and detailed images faster because the CMOS or CCD sensor has a larger surface area (also depends on the speed of the lens of course).  These Full frame digital-SLR camera models usually make up the majority of the best digital-SLR cameras.

Nikon makes some less expensive full frame models like the Nikon D700 12.1MP FX digital-SLR camera Body only. Also the more recently released Nikon D800 36.3 MP FX-Format digital-SLR camera both with a full frame sensor. At the time of this writing there are some great deals on the Nikon D700 since it is not the newest model any more however it is still a full frame DSLR and an excellent bargain.  Those are some full frame Nikon digital-SLR models.

Canon also makes some great full frame models like the highly rated Canon EOS 5D markII digital-SLR camera (body only) or with a nice EF 24-105mm IS Lens. There is a newer versions of the EOS 5D, the Canon EOS 5D Mark III camera (body only). Or in a kit with a lens, the Canon EOS 5D Mark III 22.3 MP Full Frame Digital SLR Camera with a EF 24-105mm IS Lens.  There are also some great deals on the Canon EOS 5D markII since it is not the newest model any more however it is still a full frame DSLR and an excellent bargain.  The Canon EOS 5D models are used by many professional photographers.

Those are some of the best Digital-SLR cameras with a full frame sensor that would be nice to have. If those prices are more than you want to spend then you can still buy a digital-SLR from the entry level, or mid level DSLR camera selection. Most entry level and mid level digital-SLR models have a CMOS or CCD sensor approximately the size of an APS-C sized CMOS sensor.   The APS-C sensors are a little less than half the size of the full frame models. They will not be able to capture the same amount of light or detail as a full frame DSLR sensor can pick up in the same amount of time, of course that also depends on the camera lens. However these entry and mid level models are what most people buy since they cost much less and work good for most photography. These entry and mid level models are approximately in the $400.00 to $2,000.00 price range.

When shopping for a new DSLR camera it is important to check the ratings and the reviews that other people who have used that camera say about it, like 4.8 out of 5 stars is a higher rating than most. To find the best entry level digital-SLR or the best mid level DSLR camera.  Shop at a camera store that shows the DSLR models with easy to read ratings and written reviews.  Then look for DSLR models with the highest ratings  from people that have used that camera model and detail what they like or do not like about it. Good luck with your new camera equipment and have fun taking pictures.
